I always wanted lots of puppies, it was a lovely childhood dream
my reality now makes that feel like a very distant (and crazy) dream
for I ended up with three rascals but you may know them as Jacks
making up in mischievousness for the total obedience they lack
Teddy never seems to run out energy, pouncing on this and that
boredom is a danger for Oscar, you’ve only to look at the state of the mats
Zac likes to sometimes have a quiet cuddle when you watch the tele
but then he has a mad moment and he’s destroying a pair of wellies
Oscar will stick his head into anything that might possibly have a crumb
Teddy launches himself at the postman who knows to protect his thumbs
jumping, barking, chewing, digging it’s all fun to them I suppose
my three little Jack Rascals, they certainly keep me on my toes
evening time they all curl up on me looking as innocent as can be
all is forgiven, I smile at the gentle snoring, a contented bunch are we
